CareSquared Foundation was founded as a community-based social initiative that focuses on providing support to families and siblings of disabled individuals by providing peer support, accessible caregiving resources, and collaboration with institutions. In London, the project works with Linden Lodge School in order to tackle the problem of considerable emotional and practical burdens that are faced by siblings in caregiving environments, which is often overlooked.
The initiative seeks to create accessible systems of support by providing caregiver-focused fact sheets, working towards developing peer support circles for siblings, and contributing to community-led engagement efforts that are centered around the discourse on caregiving and overall well-being. Through the creation of such fostering spaces for shared experiences and enabling emotional support and solidarity, the project aims to contribute to the strengthening of peer connection and reduce the isolation that comes with such caregiving roles and duties.
CareSquared works in the domains of awareness and advocacy, along with contributing to the development and improvement of caregiving institutions by way of fundraising and community partnerships. The initiative’s target is to be able to help in the creation of more inclusive and supportive spaces and environments for the families of disabled individuals who have to navigate disabilities and the responsibilities of care that come with them, alongside also managing their education, careers, personal growth, and daily life.
